Salam Neighbor plot
Zaatari is a large refugee camp in Jordanian Mafrak, which is developing into a city. It is located in the desert, six kilometers south of the Syrian border and is home to some 85,000 Syrians. Documentary filmmakers Chris Temple and Zach Ingrasci temporarily live in this refugee camp to record the lives and stories of their displaced neighbors. One of them is Um Ali, a woman who struggles to cope with her personal loss and overcome cultural barriers. Another is 10-year-old streetwise Raouf, whose trauma is hidden behind his ever-present smile.
