Almost everything has already been said above, and I can agree with most of it. The viewer knows from the very first second how things stand and who the culprit is, so there is no suspense or mystery, and to me, the plot feels mainly like an excuse to put the elephants, the clowns, the trapeze artists, the lions, and the tigers in the well-deserved spotlight. Beautiful widescreen with nice, bold colors, humor provided by Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez, whose Jerry Lewis-esque clumsiness may have caused a lot of hilarity in the 50s but leaves me personally unmoved, and a pretty good villain in the form of Sean McClory, who, with his sing-song Irish accent, handles his dialogue full of allusions and seduction quite well. Pretty nice, but that is mainly thanks to the animal part of the cast.
