Every year on April 1, the filthy rich Desiree Cartier throws a big party in her big house. During this party, she decides with some others to play a prank on Milan Hastings. But when poor Milan dies during the joke, their laughter is quickly lost. A year later, again on April 1, Desiree, her brother Blaine, and five of their friends fall victim to a gruesome killer who pursues them and begins slaughtering them one by one.
