Jun Naruse is a girl who has lost the ability to speak due to a traumatic experience in her childhood. In addition, her parents are divorced and she relates that to herself. As a result, she lives a quiet and withdrawn existence and has moved strongly into the background. At one point, in high school, she is selected by her teacher as a member of the class council with the assignment to give substance to a musical.
