Kate (Tina Fey) is a successful businesswoman with a busy life. When she decides one day it's time to have a child, she finds that she has very little chance of conceiving herself. She goes looking for a surrogate mother and ends up with one Angie (Amy Phoeler). However, it turns out to be not so easy to prepare Angie for her motherhood.

I actually think this is a very original story. At least I've never come across a story like that in a movie. That's partly because I give this film such a high rating.
Other than that, it's a really good rom-com. There are a lot of funny jokes in it, there's also a really nice romantic story in it and a wonderful happy ending which is what I personally prefer in these kinds of movies. A so-called "feel good" movie.
Nice points in the film were: the chemistry between the Kate and her new boyfriend... (oops, name already forgotten), the friendship that builds between the women, the friendship between the doorman and the rest of the cast, the easy-going atmosphere throughout the film, the funny character of Angie.
I could go on like this for a while. This movie has a lot of positives and I can't think of any negatives. Except that the story with Sigourney Weaver could have been done as far as I'm concerned. But that's just a detail.
Just fun, fun, fun!

Mediocre film about a successful businesswoman who goes in search of a surrogate mother because she is infertile herself. A good set-up, but it's only sporadically funny and the characters don't come out well at the beginning. An entertaining cast, although the supporting role of Steve Martin is more annoying.
