Sous les Yeux d'Occident plot
Razumov, a brilliant student who only cares about his work, learns with indifference that the Prime Minister has been murdered. However, that news hits his revolutionary comrades like a bomb. He discovers that Haldin, the killer who used to be on the faculty, is hiding in his apartment. He hesitates at first but then agrees to help him. But Haldin is later apparently betrayed by his own natural father from whom he also tries to seek help and arrested by the police. He is executed. However, Razumov has gotten himself into trouble through the whole situation and is being charged with complicity.
