"Based on a true story of love, victory, and fermentation"
Stubborn perfectionist Jim Barrett and his son, freebooter Bo, share a dream. They aim to produce a premium Chardonnay at Jim's vineyard in Nappa, California. To promote his Parisian wine shop, Steven Spurrier is organizing an international wine tasting. He is impressed by Barrett's Chardonnay, but Jim refuses to enter the British snob's contest. Bo, wanting to impress his beautiful girlfriend Sam, gives Spurrier two bottles anyway.
