The Jack Bull plot
"All men want justice. Few are willing to pay the price."
Myrl Redding, a horse dealer, comes into conflict with farmer Henry Ballard after the latter assaulted two of his horses and his Native American worker. When Myrl wants to prosecute Ballard, a corrupt judge dismisses the charges. But the horse dealer doesn't stop there and starts a personal campaign against Ballard. However, the act of revenge causes a torrent of violence and unrest in the village.

Handsome, substantive western with good script, camera work, photography and acting.
In the first part, the dominant position of the landowner and the injustice that results from it are neatly and fascinatingly explained.
Afterwards it becomes rougher and more adventurous and the law, or what looks like it, is discussed and that has also been presented to an acceptable level.

A typical once is enough movie. The story is about a crazy horse breeder where two of his horses have been treated badly and he wants justice for it. Never been a big Cusack fan and again he cannot convince. John Goodman, on the other hand, is straight as rock. The camera angles were also a dime a dozen. All in all, I actually regret sitting down for this movie. Shit happens.
