O Coronel e o Lobisomem plot
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Colonel Ponciano de Azeredo Furtado inherits the Sobradinho farm in the countryside, many possessions and the title "colonel" from his grandfather. His good friend Pernambuco Nogueira, the son of a farm worker who grew up with Ponciano, gets nothing in the will. Ponciano has been in love with his cousin Esmeraldina for years, but never expresses it. When he threatens to lose the farm to Nogueira, who is married to Esmeraldina, Ponciano goes to court to prove that Nogueira is a werewolf.
