What a remarkable movie. At times it is just completely unclear to me what is 'real' and what is played. It's hard to tell the difference, especially at the end. I think the way is original, but the execution is not strong or rather clear enough. That's why I don't get further than 2 *, while there might be a lot more in it.

Quite funny, with a gimmick that is quite confusing in the beginning, but it soon becomes clear where the director is going. The gimmick itself is fun for a while, but the film doesn't really innovate anymore. Not all scenes are equally exciting, but there are quite a few gems in between.
Especially the editing stands out and the strong acting with a reasonable Harmsen (but he has sensual lips), a decent Nasr and my favorite Dutch actor Loek Peters. Especially the latter, with the playful ease with which he acts, making him always completely natural but also convincing and compelling, is unprecedented. The jazzy score is also very nice. 3.5*.

Good film about a director who casts his own girlfriend in the film to make her fall in love with someone else. The concept of a movie within a movie is not new, but it has been worked out in an entertaining and playful way. Especially to see where real life ends and the movie begins (and vice versa). Loek Peters and Sallie Harmsen are having a great time.
