Knight Moves plot

"In a game of life and death... one wrong move could be his last..."

A small town in the American countryside is the stage for a world chess tournament. Unfortunately, this celebratory occasion is accompanied by a series of macabre, ritualistic murders. Everything points to one of the rival chess players. When he lies about his clandestine encounter with the first victim of this chilling series, the police bite. Due to the limited investigative methods in this small town, the police turn to a determined psychology student to get to the bottom of the suspect's twisted mind.

What a bad serial killer movie. Mainly lacks content; that's the type of movie where you can shit for half an hour without missing a beat. The corpses pile up, Lambert is accused , then not , an obligatory relationship between him and the psychologist and an ending that completely kills the film... An example of how not to do it must, and a low point in Lambert's already unglorious filmography. Guess I'll go grab a pint in town now and wash away my disappointment.

I didn't think it was a bad movie. The movie starts off a bit strange and the music is a bit dated, but I was still captivated by the story.

The plot is not super original, but has a good pace, so that the film does not really have dead moments. The cast isn't bad, but it isn't that special either.

I thought the movie was worth watching. Not exactly a film to watch several times, but it is certainly doable to pick up via TV.

Mediocre film in which a number of women are murdered and the suspicion falls on a chess champion. A fairly standard build-up and the entire finale is rather clichéd. Here and there attractively portrayed (especially the opening with the chess pieces). The characters are also a bit unbelievable. It won't be annoying, but 3.0 stars is just a bit too much.
