In a borough of Los Angeles called "Little Tokyo," tough yakuza boss Funekei Yoshida rules. He is ruthless to people who don't want to listen to him. His will is law. Undercover cops Chris Kenner and Johnny Murata want to end Funekei's reign of terror. Both are specialized in oriental martial arts, the Japanese language and customs. Yet it remains a life-threatening job that they have to do.

Good film in which two officers fight the Yakuza who are making the neighborhood unsafe. The story of this action movie isn't much, but that doesn't matter here. Nice old-fashioned fighting and shooting that is well portrayed. A few nice one-liners and plenty of naked ladies. Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee make a great team here and just have a good time. Partly due to the short playing time, only 3.5 stars.
At least 25 years since I saw this movie.

Showdown in Little Toyo is a wonderful genre film where you as a viewer definitely get what you expect from it. It's not all that great, but it's certainly entertaining. Too bad BL had to go through an accident so early. Great actor who also definitely experiences chemistry with DL in this film. Nice duo.

Very entertaining film with a nice 80s vibe. Action scenes well captured. Makers have also looked closely at the 80s films of, for example, John Woo in terms of portion violence. One of Lundgren's best I think too. He is very much in his element here. And combination with Brandon Lee works well. Soundtrack is an added plus here.
