MR 73 plot
"Let the hunt begin!"
The city of Marseille is ravaged by a series of murders, which look suspiciously like the murders of a certain Subra, who has spent 25 years behind bars and is about to be released. Is there any connection between Subra's impending release and the new series of murders? Detective Louis Schneider (Daniel Auteuil), who arrested Subra at the time, thinks so. Because of his alcoholism and unpredictable behavior, his boss does not allow him to interfere in the business. But Schneider, with nothing left to lose, wants to stop the killer, at any cost.

Film that impresses in the beginning with its beautiful cinematography and unpleasant atmosphere, but gradually loses itself in an unbalanced script. Had Marchal made this more of a straight forward serial killer thriller, I would have liked this much better.

The ending in particular really blows your mind.
Well acted and especially Schneider was very good.

MR 73, watched yesterday, thought it was a good entertaining film, the film does not fluctuate, the quality remains very good throughout the film.
The main character plays his part excellently, and his part is also well written.
He plays an alcoholic cop who is on a downward spiral and wants to climb up. He wants to do the right thing, but in his own drunken way.
I am only dissatisfied with the editing, sometimes even scenes seem to be missing, but the film remains strong.
Good, entertaining and dark crime film.
