Lou Andreas-Salomé plot
1861. Lou Andreas-Salomé is born in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg. At a young age she decides never to fall in love in her life. Instead, she wants to enjoy the pure knowledge and the intellectual and thus bring her mind to utter perfection. Her multiple interests enabled her to establish contacts with well-known philosophers such as Paul Rée or Friedrich Nietzsche from an early age. With their support, Andreas-Salomé becomes an excellent student and later a respected psychoanalyst. But even the most rational person is not immune to feelings and before she knows it, Salomé in Berlin falls for the then unknown writer Rainer Maria Rilke.
