The Gambler and the Lady plot
"Their wheel of fortune was spun by the cold steel of an automatic!"
Jim Foster, a gullible but successful professional gambler, is devastated when he sees that he cannot reach his goal of climbing the social ladder. He abandons his mistress Pat, a dancer, in favor of Lady Willens, a lady of the upper class. Money extortionists plague the London casinos and when the Colonna Brothers want to enter and are stopped, they kill Jim's partner and Jim is wounded by a gunshot. However, he is saved by someone he did not expect.
