The village of Blaine may seem insignificant at first, but it was founded 150 years earlier by the man who escorted the pioneers to California. The village also made a name for itself with the production of footstools. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the village, a musical is performed with the most talented residents. The play's writer is delighted to learn that critic Guffman is coming to see if the musical is suitable for Broadway.
