Woman in Hiding plot
"Hounded for money ... pursued for love ... hunted by a KILLER."
Everyone assumes that Deborah Chandler Clark died in a car accident. However, the accident was intentional and failed. Deborah is still very much alive, but she feels unhappy. Deborah had discovered the terrible truth about her new husband Selden Clark at her wedding and decided to kill herself. Selden killed her father, John Chandler, and by subsequently marrying her, he now effectively owns her father's company, where he was previously a manager. Now Deborah has to go into hiding because of her terror. Because he has offered a reward, she fears that the suspicious Selden will one day be able to find out her hiding place, despite now being bleached blonde. One day, Deborah is recognized by newsstand clerk Keith Ramsey.
