When the almost exhausted Amy, during a stay at a spa, literally falls into the hands of masseur Virgil, it is the beginning of a special but complex relationship. Virgil sees the world differently from others because he is blind. When he undergoes an experimental surgery at Amy's urging, he regains his sight, but it soon becomes apparent that every gift comes with a price and that they will literally have to see their relationship and the world around them through different eyes.

That's great, man. A bit cliché, okay, but if you don't pay attention to that, it's a beautiful film that gives you goosebumps. Kilmer and Sorvino do it convincingly and the way of filming fits well with the atmosphere. Recommended.

Certainly not high-quality Drama / Romance, but one that looked away nicely. The story was well put together (unfortunately also quite a few clichés) and the same goes for the execution, although in my opinion it could have been a bit shorter because it is often a bit long-winded. The cast in the form of Val Kilmer (walking around the entire movie with the same brown quilted jacket) and Mira Sorvino make this movie worth watching all the way through. Also, the ending was nice.

True story, nice plot, should have been at least 15 minutes shorter, but was not long-winded. Virgil was happier when he was blind, yet he can still remember the brief period of seeing. Message from the movie: If you fall in love, respect that person and don't try to change them!
