The End of the Neubacher Project plot

"If you ever marry an American or a Jew, I'll shoot you with my gun," Marcus J. Carney's Austrian mother was told by her father shortly after World War II. Carney's maternal uncle still enthusiastically wields the shotgun and denies from his armchair that millions of Jews were murdered under Nazi rule. He is not in the least ashamed of the Nazi past of the Neubachers. For eight years, Carney filmed his family, especially the maternal branch, with modest means. Through conversations and photo albums, Carney uncovers a painful history.
