What a boring movie this is.. soporific. The movie isn't very long, but it was a really long one.
The story is mediocre, standard, not surprising. Shooting a movie in New York is always great, but the selected locations are anything but beautiful (except for one or two). The film is mainly set in a hotel. In addition, the acting is very mediocre, even Fiennes, who is an excellent actor, just isn't convinced. All very wooden. That boy is still the best.
But the most disappointing thing is that there is absolutely no chemistry between Lopez and Fiennes. No romance that splashes (what these films are intended for) and no humor. Nothing Hill is a classic example of what a romantic comedy should look like. There are of course more wonderful films of this genre. And finally, the film is (totally) humorless.

This Comedy/Romance movie is a modern update of the Cinderella fairy tale.
In this story, Jennifer Lopez plays Marisa Ventura, who rules the line at the exclusive Beresford Hotel. Literally, because she's a chambermaid. When she's crazy to put on a guest's expensive designer clothes, she's mistaken for a rich lady. Senate candidate Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes) is instantly in love with her, but he doesn't know that Marisa is actually a poor single mother.
The movie is a romantic comedy, but neither Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes are funny. In addition, Ralph Fiennes does not play his role. All in all, a cheerful film that does not surprise anything, but which is still somewhat entertaining.
