The Ugly Duckling and Me! plot
Ratso, a devious performer with a lot of bad luck, dreams of show business. Trapped on a duck farm, Ratso becomes the guardian of a large egg from which an extremely ugly duck soon emerges. The duck, named Ugly, sees Ratso as his father, although he isn't exactly a caring figure now. But Ratso discovers that Ugly has an exceptional talent and wants to take advantage of it.
