We follow a veteran of the first Gulf War, who went on to serve in Afghanistan and Iraq, who discovers that after years of traumatic events, returning to ordinary civilian life is just a hopeless dream. Jerry was a patriotic reservist in the Navy during his service in the first Gulf War, driven by a desire to protect his countrymen. Despite being embittered by the military's broken promises and still not receiving the respect he craved, the civilian-oriented father of three is sent back to Afghanistan and Iraq, only to suffer horrific psychological damage. to walk through the horror of war. Jerry has now returned home to his family that lives below the poverty line and where, in a caravan that is too small, he experiences this horror again in his nightmares. Jerry's wife Nora, however, does not understand his condition, she spares her children their earnings from their newspaper rounds to prepare for an escape from this condition. However, when Jerry discovers that Nora has cheated and lied to him, the act of violence he commits is so horrific that even the most seasoned war veteran will feel disgusted.
