The Busher plot
Ben Harding is a great pitcher on an amateur baseball team in a small town. When the Minneapolis Pink Sox professional team is in town, they play a game against each other. The Pink Sox are amazed to see an amateur pitcher beat their best hitters. Ben gets a contract as a pro, but his life on a professional baseball team in the big city makes him an arrogant lout.
