A typical direct-to-video sequel from director Jake West, who certainly doesn't leave a comfortable impression. Ashes to Ashes delivers exactly what you'd expect, which is little innovation. Moreover, the monster regularly has to make way for a computer-generated version, which is rather disappointing, especially during the more dramatic moments. There's a decent atmosphere here and there, and the kills are entertaining, but when sequels like this arise from the ashes, as a fan, you know it's the end of a horror series.
