Nice sequel to the already nice Prophecy.

Great role from Christopher Walken too. Perhaps one of his best roles - he can throw all his features into this. Really delicious! 3*

Something more could have been done, but it was never boring.

I often had the feeling that you were not looking at angels, but at madmen who said they were. The forces and effects could have been a bit more prominent, more grotesque and exuberant.

But the film worked because of the actors, music and concept.

The first part was relatively entertaining despite obvious shortcomings, but this sequel from director Greg Spence copies too much of that to achieve the same effect. The roles of Christopher Walken and Brittany Murphy are quite solid, but the other characters make a very boring impression. Jennifer Beals in particular plays possibly her worst role ever and the fact that all kinds of dramatic twists are added towards the end makes things even more tiring. The situations are equally uninteresting, despite the improved computer effects. However, these are used minimally and the story makes a completely nonsensical impression, something that the previous part could clearly balance better. Add to that a major lack of atmosphere and you have this saltless sequel. Some directors seem to have no passion for their profession at all and that may have been Spence's reasoning for choosing the production chair next.
