While Henry Oldfield is on his way to the farm where he grew up, two activists also visit the farm, now owned by Henry's brother Angus. They are aware that Agnus is conducting experiments with sheep and want to stop this. But then something goes terribly wrong and slowly but surely all the sheep in the area start to transform into bloodthirsty, violent and life-threatening sheep.

Funny Horror Comedy.

Black Sheep reminded me a lot of Braindead, as others have said here. Unfortunately the gore isn't as much as there.

Of course he is nowhere really scary, and very absurd. Sometimes even over the top with Werewolf sheep which in my opinion is also a bit too much over the top.

The acting is what you expect in a horror movie, not the best you can get. Well, what did you expect from this? a good story?

Great movie to watch with a good dose of gore in some scenes. A must for horror comedy fans.

Mostly comedy and some horror.

Lots of sheep humor. And so much so that the question of whether sheep humor is fun is a legitimate question. The answer is: yes, at least nice enough to fill a movie with it.

The film is primarily a comedy. All facets of the story have a comic top or bottom layer. Much is over the top. Within that framework there is room for horror. The horror is touched by it and it also often gets a humorous touch.

Because the film doesn't take anything seriously, the impact of the serious horror is very small. The horror, which is visual and mainly consists of gore, gets snowed under in the garishness and absurdity of the story. The excellent special effects that would certainly have a terrifying effect in a serious horror film, don't do much here.

So sheep humour. All possible comic possibilities that the sheep offers are covered. And so herd behavior is comically played out, sheep shearing becomes a funny shameful occupation, and love for the sheep goes beyond platonic admiration. And so on.

Conclusion: carnivorous sheep are not scary.

That'll give you something to talk to your therapist about.

Downright wonderful film about genetically mutated sheep, and it's a mystery to me that the film scores so low, but that has to do with taste. I find it a joy to watch every time and it is clearly my kind of humor.

The story is uber simple, genetic testing on sheep gets a little out of hand and in the midst of this slaughter, the youngest son struggles to survive along with an environmentalist met at the site. And what one for that matter. The necessary dangers such as bloodthirsty sheep, a crazy brother, own trauma and an equally crazy doctor and lab technicians, have to be faced. Funny is all Henry's disapproval of all things rural like when he gives the housekeeper a hug and lies face in the shot rabbit, or when she is filleting the rabbit. Funny is also that silly hippy named Grant who slowly changes, interesting is the young lady he took with him. There is not much to be found about Danielle Mason, but I have the impression that there are two. Namely this Mason from New Zealand and a silicone/botox monstrosity from London married to MMA fighter Tony Gilles. Nevertheless, this Mason in 2006 is a picture.

Black Sheep is a wonderful piece of uncomplicated humor with a delicious Gore edge and that is an achievement, or the funny thing when you see sheep like this, because they can be such silly beasts in terms of appearance.
