Brad and Caroline Sexton, a wealthy New York couple, have been pretending to be happily married for years. In the end, after years of arguing, yelling and separate bedrooms, they decide to split up. But one day Brad is arrested for tax evasion. In reality, it is his corrupt accountant who has tampered with the accounts. The couple goes on the run together and finds shelter with the Amish, a very conservative community.
