Kimihiro Watanuki is a boy who, against his own will, can see ghosts and other supernatural things. One day he meets Yuuko Ichihara, a woman who claims she can get rid of the ghosts - but only for a price equal to the wish. Desperate to get rid of his gift, Watanuki agrees, not realizing that Yuuko just tricked him into working in her bizarre shop; a shop where she grants wishes... One day Yuuko receives an anonymous invitation to an auction in a strange house. Many other collectors are also invited. But it soon becomes apparent that something is not right - the auctioneer does not appear, the guests disappear one by one and strange things happen. Who organized the auction? What is actually being auctioned? Can Yuuko and Watanuki leave the house safely?
