I didn't have high expectations for this film, but it turned out okay.

The tension was not very high, but the film still had a bit of tension.

The story is well done and the children are doing well.

The rest of the cast also does a reasonable job.

Weak attention span.

A fairly clichéd horror film that is reminiscent of films such as 'Children of the Corn'. Murderous children, albeit here in zombie form, may not be original, but the film has a creepy atmosphere and the forest setting works well. Yet there are a number of crucial scenes that are executed weakly and therefore lose the tension. A missed opportunity, because there could have been more room here.

Average.

Although the first half hour makes a very cheap impression, director JS Cardone ultimately manages to turn this around well. The wooded environment and the general creepy atmosphere are well done and look nice and spooky. There are also some strikingly graphic murders to add to the quirkiness, although it is a shame that the final threat radiates little charisma. I've never found children to be a good fit for the role of antagonist within the horror world and Wicked Little Things is no exception. The acting is also not exactly great and the drama has little effect, but in the end I had a great evening with this relatively short work.
