"This is not so much a story about people falling in love, but rather of two young hearts trying their best not to fall in love with each other."
XiaoJun arrives in Hong Kong from his native China, hoping to earn enough money to marry his girlfriend who stayed behind in China. He meets Qiao, with whom he becomes friends. When this friendship turns into love, problems arise, and even though they seem destined for each other, they don't give in easily.
