Ann Castle (Dorothy Lamour), a former club dancer, heads west to claim her father's silver mine. There she meets Steve Baird (Dick Powell) and together with the genius Mortimer J. Slocum (Victor Moore), they manage to make the virtually empty mine still seem profitable. However, when the shareholders find out that they have been cheated, only a miracle can save them from the noose...
