Eva Hesse plot
Eva Hesse (January 11, 1936 – May 29, 1970) was a German American sculptor, known for her pioneering work in materials such as latex, fiberglass and plastic. Hesse is associated with the post-minimalism of the mid-1960s, more specifically with the anti-form movement among sculptors. In September 1968 Eva Hesse started teaching at the School of Visual Arts. In 1969 a brain tumor was found in Hesse. Her short-lived career came to an end in 1970 due to her young death.
