Louis Jouvet was at his best when he spoke. Also in this "Une Histoire d'Amour" - couldn't come up with a better title - in which his research leads to the umpteenth observation of a foolish stubborn adherence to a distinction of origin and class, against the happiness of one's own child.

Daniel Gélin, very promising in his younger years, fills in a role that suited him best. His opponent is also good. Jouvet doesn't need a wreath.
