The Scarlet Empress plot
"The Reigning Beauty of the Screen!"
The dreams of the young princess Catherine are shattered when she is forced to marry Peter, heir to the throne of the Russian tsars, the grandson of Peter the Great. When she sees him, she finds him very ugly and the Empress has to find a lover to get her pregnant. In the tumult of the war with Poland, she will overthrow her husband and go down in history as Catherine the Great.
