Rhythm on the River plot
Oliver Courtney (Basil Rathbone) is a popular songwriter who has had his songs written by two others for years. A completely unknown person writes his music and another his lyrics. When the two writers, Bob Sommers (Bing Crosby) and Cherry Lane (Mary Martin), meet in a cafeteria, they fall in love and decide to release their songs under their own names. The problem is that every publisher thinks they are copying Courtney.
