Carol wins the lottery, but unfortunately this newfound wealth leads to friction with her fiancé and they split up. Soon after, Carol falls for the mysterious yet romantic Gerald, despite warnings from her friends. Carol notices after a while that Gerald is indeed not quite right and even dangerous.
