Deepwater plot
A smooth-looking young bum, Nat Banyon, just released from the hospital, finds himself in a situation he clearly can't handle yet. He saves the life of Finch, who is a distinguished man in the polluted county town called Deepwater. He offers him a job. He'll have to do some painting work for him to do at his motel. However, he soon falls in love with Finch's wife, Iris. When a corpse of a competitor of Finch's is soon found, suspicions start to surface and take the town of Deepwater under an iron grip.
