Winckelmanns Reisen plot

Ernst Winckelmann (Wolf-Dietrich Sprenger) from Schleswig-Holstein is a hopeless person: he travels as a salesman through dreary towns and villages in northern Germany to sell shampoo without much success. He is only startled from the desolation of his existence when his girlfriend Aline (Susanne Lothar), the daughter of a bar owner, breaks up with him.
