Shortly after graduating from high school, young Lynn Peterson is killed by a drunk driver. Her parents are heartbroken. Their grief turns to anger when the perpetrator, a successful businessman, manages to avoid prosecution with the help of a shrewd lawyer. John Peterson wants justice for his daughter and begins a long, arduous battle against shrewd lawyers and a slow justice system.
