Maniac plot
"Stalks his wife... his daughter... their lover!"
When Paul Farrell, a nomad haunted by bad luck, ends up in a filthy bar in Spain, he instantly becomes attracted to the owner's daughter. However, the girl's mother soon uses Paul for her own convenience. Finally, to prove his love for her, he must help her, help her ex-husband escape who is incarcerated for some brutal murders.

The story gets off to a somewhat slow start but manages to hold sufficient attention thanks to the strong intro and the good acting. You are curious about what is going to happen, and the film gradually picks up the necessary pace when the daughter's father manages to escape. He was declared insane four years ago following the brutal murder of his daughter's rapist. Meanwhile, Geoff Farrell (Kerwin Mathews) manages to court both the daughter and the mother. But the mother has her own plans. Several plot twists follow, one of which will certainly surprise you. The underlying conspiracy is also cleverly conceived. The final scene features an excellent location to make the whole thing a bit more suspenseful. Mathews is solid in his role, and the mother, played by Nadia Gray, also portrays her character convincingly. Liliane Brousse might not be believable as a 19-year-old daughter, but she manages to give her character the necessary depth. Both ladies are, by the way, quite a looker. This would also be Brousse's penultimate film, as she left the film world after about 13 films. Brousse is now 84 years old, the only one of the main actors still alive. Nice film! 7/10
