Qing Hong plot
The story is set in China in the early 1980s, against the background of reforms and political innovations in society. Qing Hong is a 19-year-old young lady who comes from a typical immigrant family. Like so many others, they moved from Shanghai to Guizhou Province in the 1960s. Her father now wants to return to Shanghai, but this is disastrous for Qing Hong, as she is just beginning to experience her first love with Hong Geng, the son of a local farming family.
