The Terence Davies Trilogy plot
The film consists of three parts: "Children", "Madonna and Child" and "Death and Transfiguration". It's about ten-year-old Robert. He has a difficult father and a strict school, which makes his childhood unpleasant. At 23 he still lives with his mother and leads a sad life as a gay in the closet. In the final part, he has to deal with the death of his mother and finally coming to terms with himself and his past.
