Mediocre movie. A boring film with a reasonable premise that little is done with it. All kinds of morals are brought up again and the romantic entanglements of the main character (that he falls in love) is very unbelievable. The ending is also incredibly unbelievable and not to be taken seriously.

Crude ideas and ditto dialogues form the core of this irritating film, which is mainly aimed at cheap effects. Selma Blair is actually the only one who still has a bit of a fun role. The rest of the cast, led by Sarah Michelle Gellar —more cleavage than talent— isn't that great. Mediocre.

Good film about a half brother and half sister who make a bet with far-reaching consequences. Based on the previously filmed book by Choderlos de Laclos. However, it is situated in contemporary New York with a few wealthy teenagers and that works great here. A nice 90s soundtrack. The film is well cast and well acted. Easily 3.5 stars.
