Sam Martin, who lives in Key West with his wife Lucy, has a boat that is far from being paid off. With things going bad, Sam is forced to get involved with one Hanagan, who doesn't make a good impression on him. Sam's suspicions are confirmed when Hanagan, a gun smuggler, puts him on the line after a trip to Cuba. He is given the choice of losing his boat or sailing to Cuba again with a load of weapons.
