The Anniversary plot
"The legendary actress as the most merciless mother of them all"
Three sons work in the Taggart family construction business. Their mother, Mrs. Taggart (Davis), makes life very miserable for her sons and supporters. The dominant woman prepares with them for her late husband's birthday.

Good film in which three brothers go to their mother for an annual celebration. Clearly based on a play (a handful of actors and it mostly takes place in one location). The relationships between the characters are well developed. Bette Davis is excellently cast and knows how to draw attention to her.
