Nice suprice! A film that gives you a warm feeling, yes the story itself is predictable but the characters are all strongly written.

Paul Rudd & Craig Roberts have a nice chemistry with each other, at times the film even slightly reminded me of We're the Millers.

I hadn't expected Selena Gomez much, but she does fill her role very nicely, a character with a big mouth but with a small heart.

The story has few unexpected things for the rest, but the film was never boring for me and it was very nice to watch.

Netflix should make more of these kinds of movies!

3.5*

Watched this movie on netflix, not knowing what's coming.

First off, I just want to say that I rarely like comedy movies, so I really held my breath (my boyfriend, who was watching with me, is even worse).

After the first five minutes I was already crying with laughter, so that promised a lot of good. The actors managed to carry the film well. I like to say 'especially the main characters', but the supporting roles were also nicely filled.

The film is certainly not long-winded, not too busy, not too sentimental, just just right for a good comedy. The story is a bit overdone, not very original, but this doesn't bother the film.

Selena Gomez really surprised me in the movie. Now I know very little about her, but I was a little worried that she would soften the film with some romance. Fortunately this was not the case.

The downside of the film would be the depth of the characters. I missed that a bit. Their situations are briefly explained, but you don't really get the feeling that you are getting to know them.

All in all I cried with laughter and would like to watch this movie again. Thick 8.5!

In the beginning it threatens to become a bit dull and slow, but once the road trip gets underway, that threat quickly disappears. Despite a perhaps somewhat heavy subject, it is a nice feel-good comedy, although the comedy part is usually pitch black humor. That's fine with me, that helps. Rudd and Roberts are good in their roles, and so is Gomez - perhaps a little unfair to find that surprising. Too bad the ending is a bit too over the top, as my predecessor also pointed out - it's just too much.
