After more than 6 years I have reviewed it again and as expected I was way too strict at the time. This is a wonderful watch that also takes place during a personal favorite; Halloween! It is a great shame that this festival is so underrated in this region, but I love watching people enjoy it on the silver screen.

The trick-or-treating atmosphere is palpable. The streets of the American suburb are lavishly decorated, children go from door to door to eat their fill of sweets and families reunite for this special occasion. So does the Whooly family, which consists of a snotty brat, an annoying mother and a really gorgeous daughter. It's a cheap trick to have Winnick commandeer the entire film as a whore across the screen, but goddamn it works *drool*!

The story is wafer-thin and many actions show little thinking. Sometimes you get annoyed by it, but there are films where that simply does not happen. Because every scene with either Winnick, but certainly also the killer in the brilliant Satan suit is enjoyable. A good move that you do not find out his identity in any way. Not by his voice and not by his face. The naive, enthusiastic Dougie is great in combination with Satan who only nods yes and occasionally, and always grinning, puts his thumbs up. Dry.

Still, the film misses the dots on the i. For example, the weapons could have been used a bit more creatively (walking up to someone with a pizza cutter, really?). But the gore also lets it down a bit. The guts scene was fun, and the cat scene even more than that, but otherwise it was more of a brawl without a bloody ending. I also missed a real surprise. Winnick losing her top behind a fence during an escape attempt would have been a nice one. Lieberman delivers a very nice job with Satan's Little Helper.

It's October again.

The month of Halloween.

And this film is a very nice movie to watch again this month.

I can laugh at this movie. No, the acting is not that great and don't expect a high-quality plot, but enjoy the campy character and the funny situations with Satan and you have a nice Halloween movie for in between.

Comedy Halloween film with a lot of bad jokes and pranks, which will of course have a different impact on every viewer. The unbridled urge to create sufficient absurdity fortunately has a positive effect and distracts the viewer a little from the fact that Alexander Brickel is very annoying and present as the devil's little helper. In terms of finishing, director Jeff Lieberman does not go very strong and the atmosphere could have been worked out a lot better, but Satan's Little Helper remains remarkably funny and therefore entertaining. Towards the end it all becomes a bit more serious and as a result the film becomes a bit worn out, but fortunately it does not have a too long duration.
