Young Aaron lives with his father, mother and brother in a hotel room during the crisis years. When his mother is admitted to a sanatorium, father accepts a job far from home and his brother finds himself a home with relatives due to lack of money, Aaron is left alone in the shabby hotel. The intelligent Aaron is forced to make it on his own in all sorts of ways.
