Lonesome Dove plot

Augustus McRea and Woodrow F. Call, former Texas Rangers, are partners and friends who have had many dangerous adventures together. Gus is a romantic, an unwilling rancher who knows how to deal with women without getting into trouble. Call is a driven, demanding man, a natural leader who has no patience for weakness. He is obsessed with the dream of setting up a ranch far away. The two men are as different as night and day, but both are go-getters who know they can count on each other. Gus is drawn into Call's dream, and a motley crew of cowboys, emigrants and scouts gather in their wake.

How good is this! I had this miniseries on blu-ray for years, but never really had the time or sense. This series has everything a western should have: unique characters, some shootouts here and there, but above all the calm dialogues and beautiful images of the Wild West. The story kept me captivated from start to finish.
