Frankie Wilde (Paul Kaye), once a legendary DJ, has been written off by his record company, his manager, wife and friends and his life is turned upside down. The cause of the decline of his star status is the complete loss of his hearing. Frankie Wilde is now forced to fight his alcohol and drug addiction while also trying to build a new life.

Nice comedy, as pure drama had become very cliché.
Sometimes quite good to laugh, sometimes also very lame puns. Paul Kaye plays it nice, but especially his manager is very funny. Entertaining.

it is (especially if you like dance/trance music) nice to hear it through good speakers.
the film revolves around a DJ, and therefore music.
There's a scene in it with an ear that really pissed me off, especially because it actually happened.

Nice movie. Show both the hipster and the dark side of a DJ's life in an original way.
Unfortunately, the music was a bit disappointing for me. In the same genre, a film like Human Traffic did better a few years earlier. Film itself offers a balanced mix of drama and comedy without being too sentimental or farcical.
For people who have ever been to Ibiza on holiday, it is also a feast of recognition; the Pacha (exterior), the Amnesia (interior), planes flying fairly low (presumably above Playa d'en Bossa).
Nice feel-good film with a raw edge, 3.5*.
